Math is often taught as “all scales and no
music”—all repetitive practice and no joy. Wanting his students to love math as
much as he does, teacher Edward Zaccaro created these materials, then tested them in his
own classrooms. Concepts are
explained in easy-to-understand language and illustrated
with cartoons. Kids enjoy discovering the connections
between math and science. Problems are at three levels of
difficulty: Challenging, Very Challenging, and
Einstein.
