The summer is
a great time to reconnect with your child. You can take them on

of things to do? Well, to make sure you don't get to that point,

Since children have
so much free time in the summer it is to their benefit that this time
be maximized. Planning events in advance for your youngster is
essential. Two months planning in advance is sufficient. Here are some
other ideas on how to maximize your child's time this summer.
1) Hire a tutor for
your child or enroll them in summer school if available. During the
course of the school year there is certain to be concepts learned that
your child did not fully understand.
2) Enroll them in a
specialized camp such as art, music, sports, cooking or acting.
Children will learn a valuable skill and make new friends.
3) Suggest that they
volunteer in a community organization. This will help develop their
sense of citizenship.
4) Go to the bookstore with your child and go on a book buying spree.
Children who pick books will usually read them.
5) Organize a part
time job with a local merchant. Most kids can’t wait to start earning
money!
6) Negotiate an
apprentice position for your child. The skills they learn could lead
to a career.
