Finding Your Child's Passion At A Young Age Will Help Them In
School and In Life
|

Everyone is good at something.
Whether it be throwing a baseball or completing complex math
problems all people have a knack for something. As a parent, you
should find out what your child's passions are at an early age. By
exposing your child to different activities such as sports, drawing,
academics, music, cooking, or photography you open a channel for
them to express themselves in a positive way. Many times when
children don't have an outlet to express themselves they turn to
other means of expression; mainly by acting out negatively.
Children need attention. Whether your child needs a lot of it or is
very independent having them focus their energy on their passion has
many rewards.
1) Your child's passion could become a springboard for a career.
2) If necessary, as a parent, you can use your child's passion as a
behavior modification tool. That means you can use it to ground them
if needed.
3) Children who find a passion young in life learn faster than older
kids. It is more likely that they will become experts in what they
do than if they start at an older age.
4) Children who are occupied with something they like are less
likely to get involved in behaviors or activities that will get them
into trouble.
I recommend you begin exploring different activities with your child
by as young as age three. This will insure a that a lifelong and
endearing relationship between your child and their passion
develops.
Negative behaviors by children is a very common problem which, if
left unchecked, can become a lifelong problem. Finding your child's
passion early is an effective way to combat negative behaviors.
