One thing that I have noticed with any person,
young or old, is that they appreciate thoughtful things.
Usually, the things a person will appreciate the most are the
simplest and least expensive. One thing that you can do to show
your child that you're aware that they're doing the right thing
or to celebrate a small or large accomplishment is to give them
an award certificate. Award paper can be bought in many office
supply stores. They come in a wide variety for kids and adults
alike. You can also make them on your computer. Programs like
Microsoft Word and Microsoft Powerpoint have modules in which
you can create professional looking award certificates. The
great thing is that you can personalize the certificates by
adding accents like a picture of you and your child or race cars
right on the award.
You can even have an awards night in your home. You can have the
ceremony in your livingroom followed by a celebratory dinner.
Doing an event like this will boost your child's self esteem as
well serve as a way for you to bond with your child. Something
this simple could have a profound effect on you and your child's
relationship. Have fun!
